Linda is a Buyer Specialist with Team Jodi. She first came to Chapel Hill in 1970 as an undergraduate. After receiving a B.A. degree in English, she went on to earn certification teaching English/Language Arts in grades K-12. She remained in Chapel Hill to teach Remedial Reading in the Orange County School System until 1978 when she relocated to Washington, DC. After a successful career as a broker with RE/MAX Allegiance in Northern Virginia, she returned to Chapel Hill and affiliated with RE/MAX Winning Edge.
In Washington she established the Jenkins Hill Child Development Center on Capitol Hill behind the Library of Congress. The school still provides superior pre-school education as a parents cooperative which she helped form when she left. While there she also published Potomac Children, the first parenting newspaper in Washington, which later merged into Washington Parent.
A life-long writer and foodie I created Metropolitan Menus, a collection of restaurant menus and local food articles with recipes from top chefs, along with other local Washington, DC, publications.
With the birth of her son she retired from work outside the home but remained active in community and school activities. During this period she helped develop the neighborhood schools biggest participant fundraiser, Get Fit, which also continues to this day.
A Realtor since 2001 she continues to use the professional, proactive and personal skills she developed over her lifetime. When you work with Linda, She handles your transaction personally in every aspect. She is there when you need her, she will respect your home buying or selling process as a unique experience.
She is a Realtor, GREEN, a Certified Residential Specialist, a long-time member of REBAC, the organization for Accredited Buyers Representatives. She is also a Certified New Homes Specialist, as well as Residential Construction Certified. Linda lives by a pond in Carrboro with her son Christopher and their pesky English Springer Spaniel, inappropriately named Lady. She enjoys reading, writing, gardening, and fishing.
